NKD SKN is a self-tanning brand in the U.K, which doesn't get much sun. For the new concept of the containers, I visualized the strong sunlight of the noon and the short shadow it casts. The mitt is also redesigned to be more simple and effortless to use just with a small stitch.
The aims of the project are to have a cohesive packaging system and to create simple methods that make self-tanning easily accessible with professional results for a new generation of young creatives.

With a subtle flip of ”N”, NKD SKN is more inviting the millennial who is the main target. Only the upper case is used in graphic due to give a clean and dependable image of the brand.

The new logo is divided into two lines - NKD and SKN - and the "N" in the last is flipped giving a unique, minimal, and modern mood. Only the uppercase letter forms are used to gives a clean and reliable brand image.

New concept of the container is to visualize the strong sunlight of noon and the short shadow it casts as the brand is from the U.K which doesn't get much sun. The tanned gold color resembles the feeling of rich sunlight-touched skin.

Users can perform delicate self-tanning with gradual tan color and an angular shape sponge applicator.
Mitt
The mitt has also been redesigned to be more simple and effortless to use. A small stitch on the mitt fixes its position on the hand to be naturally stretched so users don't need to stretch their hand when they apply the tanning lotion on their body.
